Work shop on Protection of Women from Domestic violence, Act 2005 held on 14- July 2005. Dr. Rukmini Rao facilitated this workshop. Gramya staff also participated in this workshop. Partners and non partners of Centre for World Solidarity attended this meeting.

Out come: Action plan to advocate for state level rules and regulations for implementing the Act was designed in this workshop. It was decided that a resource/information kit would be prepared to give information on the Act to politicians, government officials like Police, Judiciary and development departments.

40 women victims of violence got support, most of the cases reported on domestic violence such as physical and mental harassment due to dowry, liquor, adultery and sexual harassment etc.
